Why I love these Hotels and Resorts
The Madeline Hotel and Residences is a beautiful property in Mountain Village (a short gondola ride away from the center of Telluride) that offers great amenities and access to everything that Telluride has to offer. Sam stayed here with her husband during their mountain escape honeymoon and it was nothing short of luxurious. The hotel features large rooms with great views, a spa for relaxation treatments and pool/hot tub.
Why I love Telluride
Telluride is the perfect mix of quant; western town meets luxury destination. The main street offers endless cute shops and restaurants, as well as quick access to hiking trails and skiing in the winter months. There is also a gondola up to Mountain Village with additional residences and hotels, and access to additional ski runs. Telluride offers some of the most scenic mountain views and picturesque landscape given its location within the San Juan mountains.
What to do
If you love to be active there are endless activities to take-in the outdoors including hiking, biking, rafting, skiing/snowboarding, etc. If you prefer to relax and explore the area there are many shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars to check out. You also should not miss the opportunity to drive over to Ouray (about 1 hour away) to enjoy one of the nearby hot springs, hike, and grab lunch.
